About Our Icecream.

Our Location
Three Cliffs Bay is one of the most beautiful bays to visit, named after the three rock limestone cliffs formation, with sand dunes, rock pools, a freshwater stream running into the bay popular with paddle boarders, and the amazing view of Pennard Castle overlooking the bay.
Due to the shape of the estuary into the bay a strong rip tide is created, this is a current that goes straight out to sea. For more advice, please see RNLI staying safe at Three Cliffs Bay.
Please only swim between Lifeguard flags, Lifeguards are on duty daily until September 1st 10am – 6pm

Interesting Local Information
The name Parkmill dates back from around the 12th century when the area was a deer park owned by the Knights of Le Breos, in the middle of the park is a water mill and so the name was a shortened description of the Deer Park with the mill, to Parkmill. The mill is still a turning water mill and forms part of the Gower Heritage Centre.
The Gower Heritage Centre is said to be haunted by the old mill owner William, when you visit say hello to Will the mill.
East of Parkmill is the Gower Inn, take a 30-minute walk north through the valley past the Cromwellian Chapel remains to St Illtyds Church, where you will find a Yew tree almost a thousand years old.
In 1650 a Rector by the name of John Miles formed the earliest recorded Baptist Church in Wales at St Illtyds, by 1662 after Charles II had brought back the book of common prayer and outlawed Baptism as a religion, Miles and his congregation left for America. They settled in Massachusetts Boston and named their settlement Swansea, where you can find Elm Avenue and Norton Drive, named from the local area.
Further East you will find Swansea Airport during the World War 2 this was greatly used in the British RAF defense against the Germans, during a training exercise a plane crashed close to the airfield at Venaway Lane, out of respect for those that lost their lives the lane was rerouted so now has a bend. The crew were buried in the local Church yard.
South of Parkmill is Pennard Golf Course where you will find the iconic water tower, before water was available to the golf course it was pumped up from the stream in Parkmill, one day a blockage was reported to the head gardener whose job it was to water the greens. After working out it must be a blockage in the water tower, he stripped down, climbed up and jumped in. After swimming to the bottom, he found the largest halibut fish he had ever seen stuck to the outlet water hole, after taking it home to eat his wife remarked it must have been swimming in the tower for many years, it was that big it fed us all for a week.
